Chain and Padlocks

Basically, Padlocks come in two forms Dial Combination or Key (some with the option of multiple "Keys to Pass"), it is very much a personal choice and depends upon your needs.

It is very true that a Chain is only as strong as its weakest link:

• Case Hardened chains have a hard wearing surface layer which resists Hacksaws and Files.
• Through Hardened chains have a tempered steel core which resists Bolt Croppers and Crowbars as well as Files and Hacksaws.
• Quick Repair Links are available to replace broken Links, but by their very nature can easily be undone.

An alternative to Chain with Padlock is the "Locking Cable" which is strong, but less "bulky" than Chain.
