We stock a wide variety of electric fencing components from the excellent Gallagher range; these include Energisers, Wire/Tape, Insulators and Posts; suitable for controlling and protecting your Cattle, Goats, Horses, Poultry, Sheep.

How Electric Fencing Works:

An Electric Fence is a circuit, the current passes through wires or tape then via earthing stakes back to the unit; if an animal touches the fencing it will effectively act as the earth causing the current to flow through it.

What is required:

1. An Energiser to provide the current.
2. Fencing wire or tape to conduct the current.
3. Insulators which hold the wire / tape and prevent the current draining to the ground via the medium they are attached to.
4. Earthing stakes to conduct the current back to the Energiser.
5. An Animal to receive the "shock" if it contacts the fence and thereby completing the circuit.
