Feeding
Providing the right food and at the right time is one of the four main essentials in keeping and enjoying healthy Plants. Also, certain Fertilizers can be applied to correct deficiencies and control disease.
- Composts: Garotta helps speed up the composting process.
- Ericaceous: Sulphate of Iron will increase acidity of the Soil.
- Hormone Rooting Powder: helps Cuttings establish Roots.
- Lawns: Scotts Lawn Builder (apply March to September).
- Lime: Garden Lime not only reduces acidity, but also helps break up heavy soil.
- Flowering: Fish Blood & Bone, Sulphate of Potash.
- General: 6X Fertilizer Pellets.
- Nitrogen: Sulphate of Ammonia (especially good for Green Vegetables).
- Magnesium: Epsom Salts (counters deficiency and combats Leaf curl and yellowing).
- Potting House Plants: John Innes No.2, J.A.B's General Seed & Potting Compost.
- Potting Mature Outdoor Plants: John Innes No.3, J.A.B's Growmore Multipurpose.
- Root Building: Bone Meal (slow release), Seaweed extract.
- Roses: Top Rose (an excellent all round Rose food).
- Seeds and Seedlings: John Innes No.1, J.Arthur Bower's General Seed & Potting Compost, Perlite (non toxic volcanic rock based material which holds air and moisture well), Vermiculite (non toxic mica base material which facilitates slow release of Nutrients).
- Tomatoes: Tomorite (for feeding), Grow Bags (for planting in).
